HOW YOUR SAUSAGE GETS MADE
STEP 1 - GETTING TO KNOW YOU
Design is a highly personal experience. Before we can get to work on your project, it’s crucial we get to know a little bit about you and what you’re hoping to accomplish with your project. You’ll complete a project design questionnaire, a personal design document, and pass along any questions or concerns you may have to us.
STEP 2 - THE PROPOSAL
We’ll whip together a project proposal based on the project design questionnaire, outlining the service(s) we’ll be providing, the scope and timeline of your project to-be, and of course, how much it’s all going to cost.
Included in the proposal will also be a contract, which will outline things like copyright and ownership information, payment terms, and project closure or termination clauses. While this part may be total snoozeville for you, we promise it’s meant to protect us both in the process and make sure it’s a smooth and enjoyable ride for everyone. Sign that puppy, submit a 50% down payment, and we’re off to the beginning of a beautiful project relationship.
STEP 3 - CONTENT GATHERING
At this point in the process, you’ve got some work to do. As the client, your job is to provide us with all of the necessary content to get the job done. While it depends on the type and scope of project, some things we might need from you to get started on your project include logos, copy, graphics, or photos.
STEP 4 - THE FIRST SWING
We crack our knuckles, drink an egregious amount of Monster Energy, and then something awesome happens: we find that critical starting point for your project. After stitching, ripping, tinkering, and tweaking that initial concept, we’ll share the preliminary design with you in the form of a PDF or a website demo depending on your project.
STEP 5 - REVISION
Okay, we get it. You may not be quite as in love with our design as we were, and that’s okay–we’ve got our big kid pants on. With any project, up to three rounds of revision are included to be able to nail the vision you have. Now is the perfect time to tell us things like “hold off on the green,” or “this layout makes me want to puke.” Your absolute honesty here is key, as it’s your money, your project, and your happiness at stake.
STEP 6 - COMPLETION + CLEANUP
Time pull the trigger! We’ll prepare any necessary files to hand-off (design files, website logins, etc.), launch your website, or send your freshly baked design to you–its loving and rightful owner. Once we’ve tied up any remaining loose ends from the project hand-off, we’ll send you a project sign-off form and final invoice, due within 14 days of project completion.
